(NewDesignWorld Press Release Center) -- Washington, 24th Jan, leading online new and used car seller ‘autotropolis.com’ has today officially revealed entry of a stunning venture from Volvo, ‘Volvo XC90’. Almost all prominent names in press and media were preset in the small media session. Spokesperson precisely quoted the fact how Volvo is upgrading itself along with the passing on time.

Actually, Volvo XC90 is a symbolical evidence of its new mood. It has direct competition with the vehicles like BMW X5, the Acura MDX, and the Infiniti FX to the top spot. First time Volvo XC90 entered into production in the year 2003 and proved quite promising right from the beginning. It is recognized as the midsize luxury crossover sports utility vehicle. The vehicle earned the North American truck of the year award in 2003 and the motor trend magazine’s sport utility of the year as well.

Volvo XC90 is available in two different variants viz. 2.5T & the V8. Both variants are available with two doors and maximum can take in up to seven passengers inside its lavish cabin. In terms of looks, it is like a European vehicle. 2.5T trim level comes with 2.5 liter I5 turbo engine. It exerts 208 horsepower and can attain 17MPG (miles per gallon) in the city and 23MPG on the highway. On the other hand, V8 is equipped with 4.4 liter V8 engine which exerts 311 units of horsepower. In city, it can achieve 15MPG and on highway, it may go up to 21MPG.

Volvo is globally noted for its safety concern but now, it has decided to adapt modern marketing norms and decided to upgrade the design of its vehicles. In brief media session, Karin falk’s (head of the special vehicle division of Volvo) comment was also used, “we have had numerous requests for a sportier XC90. They are from customers who appreciate the versatility and comfort of an SUV but who also want a bit more driving pleasure. We have developed the Volvo XC90 Sport especially for them, with a dynamic sport chassis, stiffer anti-roll bars, firmer shock absorbers, a sport-tuned, speed dependent steering system, and larger 19 inch wheels.”

Basically, all these good-good words were used to generate public interest in this vehicle. But, the bottom line is that it is a good option and one should go ahead in unhesitant way with Volvo XC90.
