Lovell to create Yorkshire construction jobs

(NewDesignWorld Press Release Center) -- Hundreds of jobs are likely to be created in north Yorkshire following a contractor’s successful bid for a £35 million development.
Lovell and its partner Maple Grove will require skilled tradespersons for the construction of 220 new homes and a number of retail outlets in Skipton, after being awarded the contract by Craven District Council.
The company revealed that building work is scheduled to commence in the second quarter of 2010 and will be completely finished by 2015.
Noel Adams, regional director of Lovell and Maple Grove, described this contract as an "exciting opportunity".
He said: "We are delighted to have been chosen … as the preferred partner for this scheme which is set to provide a major boost for Skipton through the delivery of high-quality new homes and shops and the creation of local jobs."
Earlier this month, the budget airline Ryanair also boosted employment opportunities in Yorkshire by announcing the imminent recruitment of 1,000 workers at Leeds Bradford Airport.
