Haute Route Skiing Date for 2011 Announced by Glenmore Lodge
(NewDesignWorld Press Release Center) -- Glenmore, UK, November 23, 2010 -- The Haute route skiing tour is a journey on every ski mountaineers tick list, it’s a committing hut to hut tour and can be a huge undertaking for individual groups. However if you are fit enough and have reasonable skiing and ski touring experience our fully guided tour will take the stress away ensuring you get to fully enjoy the trip of a lifetime.
As the National Training Centre our guides are train in the art of instructing, not just guiding! That means you get a Haute Route skiing experience AND the opportunity to improve your skill level, not just a guide at the front screaming follow me. The Glenmore Lodge course starts with some basic skills practice with the opportunity to ski some of the classic Chamonix routes such as the Grand Montets & the Vallee Blanche. We then make our way over the course of 7 days from Chamonix to Zermatt via the Haute Route skiing route.
If the Haute Route skiing tour is a goal but you don’t yet have the right skills or level of experience, don’t worry. Glenmore Lodge has a wide range of ski touring courses both in the Alps and Scotland starting with introductory weekend courses in Scotland.
