Gooroo Launches Complete, Online Business Management Suite for Small Businesses
(NewDesignWorld Press Release Center) - May 6, 2009, Leeds, UK – Gooroo Software, the SME-focused software as a service (SaaS) vendor, has announced its online business management suite which gives users a complete dashboard overview of their company’s operations for just £25 per user, per month.
Gooroo’s online solution makes it easy for companies to run their operations securely in the cloud via a web browser on any web-enabled PC or phone, with no software to buy, install or maintain, and no extra hardware or support costs.
The Gooroo suite integrates key business functions such as accounts, sales, stock control, CRM and supplier, task and people management into a single browser-based dashboard view, giving users secure access to their latest company data at any time, on any web-enabled device, anywhere.
Gooroo also provides its partners with data migration tools, making it easy and seamless to get customers up and running with the solution. Support is free, with no additional costs for maintenance or other extras.
Dean Miles, general manager of Gooroo Software said: “Our business suite has strong appeal to smaller companies because it lets them focus on building their business, without the hassle of buying, deploying and managing software and networks. We recently surveyed small businesses’ plans to adopt SaaS and cloud solutions, and there is real demand out there. SMEs want the same software tools that are available to enterprises, and Gooroo puts these benefits within easy reach of any size of business.”
Allgas, a specialist supplier and maintainer of gas and electrical appliances and accessories, is deploying Gooroo’s suite to help it manage its stock, sales and to support a planned e-commerce site.
Managing director Elaine Whylde said: “We were looking for a cost-effective solution to provide a single, real time view of our central stock position, both internally and externally through our planned e-commerce web site.
“My old PCs, database and accounts software cost £9,000 to buy and £1,000 a year to support, but the Gooroo solution will cost me £25 a month per user. We’re a fast-moving business, so not investing wasn't an option, but I had to find a way to do it affordably. Gooroo was the clear favourite, with its flexibility and access to real-time business data”, said Elaine.
In Gooroo’s March 2009 survey of directors and senior managers in small businesses across the UK, 40% of respondents said they had already changed their plans to buy or update business software because of the economic climate, and 21% planned to postpone spending on software until the situation improves.
When asked if they would replace their current business software with a solution costing around £30 per month per user, with no extra hardware or software costs, 46% said a definite yes and 18% said they very likely to. 18% said maybe, and just 18% saying it was unlikely or a definite no.
Gooroo’s email survey found that 12% of respondents were already using cloud or software as a service (SaaS) applications for core business functions. 31% said they had firm plans to deploy cloud solutions by summer 2010, and a further 11.5% will deploy solutions by the end of 2010.
Respondents listed the benefits they expected to gain from cloud applications, with the majority (65%) naming an overall reduction in IT costs. Improved efficiency (50%) and greater working flexibility (50%) were next highest, with easy set-up and management close behind at 46%. Access to business applications from any location was also rated highly (42%).
