Corporate Responsibility and the Durable Desk

(NewDesignWorld Press Release Center) -- The makers of the Durable Desk donate desks to earthquake-stricken Haiti.

When the devastating earthquake hit Haiti in mid January, hundreds of relief organizations were ready to step in and offer aid. QProducts, a multinational company that manufactures the Durable Desk, decided to get involved. They partnered with Bless the Children, Inc., a non-profit international humanitarian-aid organization that help disadvantaged children overcome the barriers to education so that they may have the opportunity to become responsible leaders in their communities. To help rebuild schools in Haiti, QProducts donated a number of the Durable Desks through the Bless the Children organization.

The Durable Desk is manufactured from a new rotomolding process out of recyclable polyethylene and is 100% recyclable. The desk is a one-piece design and is as durable as it is functional. It was designed to conform to ergonomic standards and withstand normal wear and tear better than the traditional wood and metal desks. QProducts is proud to have its Durable Desks contribute in some small way to the massive relief effort in Haiti.

Corporate responsibility is taken very seriously at QProducts and the company wishes to give back to the communities that have embraced its products. QProducts intends to be a good corporate citizen and continue to reach out to various organizations to support them in their efforts to alleviate suffering and further the cause of global education.
