Bestselling Author Daniel Pink to Deliver Keynote Speech at CompTIA Breakaway 2010

Pink, author of several provocative, bestselling books about the changing world of work, will serve as a keynote speaker at CompTIA Breakaway, North America’s premier event for the IT channel.
Registration is now open for the conference, scheduled for August 9 – 12 at the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa, San Antonio, Texas.

Pink is scheduled to speak at 2:15 p.m. CDT Tuesday, Aug. 10. He will discuss the “Science of Motivation,” offering insights on the difference between what science knows and what businesses do when it comes to motivating employees.
Pink’s latest best-selling book, Drive: The Surprising Truth About What Motivates Us, uses 40 years of behavioral science to overturn conventional wisdom about human motivation and offer a more effective path to high performance. The book reached every national bestseller list in its first month of publication.
Additional keynote speakers, industry panels and education programs at CompTIA Breakaway 2010 will be announced in the coming weeks.
CompTIA reseller, vendor and distributor members can attend Breakaway for free, but registration is required. The conference also is open to non-members, including technology resellers, distributors and vendors. A special “early bird” conference registration rate of $199 is available through April 30 for non-members. The non-member registration can be applied toward the cost of a one-year membership in CompTIA.
“We anticipate the largest number of vendors ever at CompTIA Breakaway, along with hundreds of managed service providers, technology solution providers and value-added resellers,” Ricker added.
