Melbourne, VIC, June 04, 2010 -- On June 1st The Victorian Cosmetic Institutes online cosmeceutical store celebrates its first birthday and a successful 12 months in operation.

The online skincare store is the first of its kind as if specialises purely in “cosemeceuticals” a class of hair, sun and skin care products that contain medical grade active skin care ingredients. Dr Gavin Chan the head cosmetic physician at the Victorian Cosmetic Institute launched the store after recognizing the demand from his patients for skin care products that deliver results. “There are many products in the vast skin care marketplace that claim to do wonders, but deliver very little. This is because they have minimal or no medical grade active skin care ingredients. A common denominator of all the products we have online is that they are all highly active and induce changes in the skin to make it the best it can be.” said Dr Chan.

Dr Chan also went onto state that he felt the store was unique in that “using my deep skin care knowledge that I have gained as a cosmetic physician I have been able to hand pick the best cosmeceutical products on the market today. I don’t think there is any other skin care store in Australia that has a range selected by a cosmetic physician.”

According to Dr Chan there has been a great response from clients “The store has been an overwhelming success. Customers who are new to cosmeceutical products and have purchased never turn back and re-order because of the efficacy of the products. While experienced cosmeceutical users will find all of the best brands online at great prices.”

When asked about plans for the store Dr Chan said that “We plan to further increase the product range offered in our store, whilst sticking to our philosophy of only stocking the best cosmeceutical products available in Australia.”

The online cosmeceutical store currently stocks products from brands that include: ASAP Skin Care, Aspect, Aspect Dr, Cosmedix, Dermatology Concepts, Glo Minerals Make Up, Jane Iredale Mineral Make Up Osmosis Skin Care, Rationale Skin Care, Results Rx, Synergie Minerals and Ultraceuticals skin care.
