Promoters of Historic Titanic Great Lakes Dinner Cruise Seeks Rose and Jack Look Alikes


Marine City, Michigan – [February 3, 2009]

Do you look like Rose DeWitt Bukater? Or maybe your brother in law is a Cal Hockley look alike. Three Marine City businesses are calling all inspiring actors or people who look like the major characters from the 1997 film Titanic to be a part of the first ever Great Lakes Titanic Cruise. The cruise will be departing April 25, 2009.from Hart Plaza on the beautiful Detroit Princess. The Pearl's Water Street Boutique and Titanic Movie Museum along with Ahead Turners Designs and The Heather House Bed and Breakfast are looking for Jack, Rose, Molly Brown, Capt. Smith, Cal Hockley & Celine Dion look a likes. Interested contestants will be required to buy a ticket for the cruise & must act and dress similar to the role as portrayed in James Cameron's 1997 blockbuster.

There are no limit to the number of entries, and contestants will be judged by the attending guests. There will be a first place winner & a runner up prize. Promoters say if someone's interested, they should watch the movie & mannerisms of their character so they can attract as many votes as possible. Prizes are yet to be determined. Promoters are also interested in locating two Irish dancers, one male and one female to dance like Jack & Rose did in steerage.

Boarding will begin at 5:00 pm, dinner & cruise commences at 7:00 pm, dis-embark by 11:00 pm. In addition to the look alike contest, the event will include a delicious Captain's Buffet dinner, musical entertainment, prize drawings, photographer, plus vendors with period jewelry and more. V.C. King, author of Titanic: Relative Fate, and David G. Brown, author of The Last Log of the Titanic will be featured guests.
