David G. Brown author and TV documentary producer to join Historic Titanic Great Lakes Dinner Cruise
Marine City, Michigan – [February 1, 2009]
It's “full steam ahead” as local Marine City businesses, The Pearl's Water Street Boutique and Titanic Movie Museum, Ahead Turner Designs, and The Heather House Bed and Breakfast continue making history on this first ever Great Lakes Titanic Dinner Cruise to be held on the beautiful Detroit Princess in downtown Detroit April 25th, 2009.
Renown author and TV documentary producer David G. Brown; author of The Last Log of the Titanic, White Hurricane, and more has agreed to be a featured guest on the cruise. Mr. Brown's current research is far beyond what anyone has seen on TV or read in books. Could it be that Titanic was steered directly into the iceberg not by accident, but by deliberate action? Was it an accident, but one created ironically by an attempt to avoid an ice field across the ship's bow? Mr. Brown will be answering these questions and more during the cruise.
Boarding will begin at 5:00 pm, dinner & cruise commences at 7:00 pm, dis-embark by 11:00 pm. The event will include a delicious Captain's Buffet dinner, musical entertainment, prize drawings, photographer, look alike character contests (from the James Cameron movie “Titanic), plus vendors with period jewelry and more. V.C. King, author of Titanic: Relative Fate will also be a featured guest.
Fascination with the voyage in 1912 of the R.M.S. Titanic has never faded. Even the most casual Titanic enthusiast can't help but wonder what it was like aboard the luxury liner. On April 25, 2009, the Detroit Princess will give party goers a chance to experience the luxury and ambiance with a trip back in time. Tickets are available now and can be purchased by contacting Maggie at titanicmoviemuseum@sbcglobal.net, calling 586-306-5765 or logging onto www.greatlakestitanicconnection or www.detroitprincess.com.
