How to maintain your Sex Toy

With good maintenance you can keep all your sex toys in top condition. Here are ways to properly clean and store them:
Step 1:
Wipe vibrators down with a damp, soapy washcloth but be careful not to wet the internal components. Clean your toy after each and every use and only store it when it is completely dry. You can keep your soft-toys smelling fresh and discourage the growth of harmful bacteria by spraying them down with a good anti-bacterial toy cleaner.
Non-vibrating adult toys like dildos, glass wands and anal plugs are especially easy to clean. Immerse them in hot, soapy water or even put them on the top shelf of your dishwasher for a thorough cleaning.
Step 2:
Your vibrators #1 enemy is humidity. Moisture can cause batteries to corrode a vibrator’s internal components, shortening the life span of the toy. You can prevent this by storing your sex toys in a cool, dry place.
If you reside in a location where high humidity can’t be avoided, simply remove the batteries from your sex toy when it’s not in use.
Step 3:
The small, metal internal components of most toys are extremely fragile and can be broken through rough handling. So, be careful when loading and unloading your sex toy with batteries!
Don't use silicone lubes with silicone sex toys, or oil based lubes with latex toys. (If you don’t know the material of your toy stay on the safe side by using a water-based lube like Astroglide.)
Step 4:
Are you sharing your adult toys with different sex partners? Keep them safe and clean by covering them with a latex condom that will be changed out each time you share. Don't share sex toys made from materials like jelly and Cyberskin because they are quite porous and difficult to disinfect. Silicone and hard plastic can be bleached to insure absolute safety.
