Connect with Autodesk at Game Developers Conference 2010

(NewDesignWorld Press Release Center) -- SAN RAFAEL, Calif.--Game developers can connect with Autodesk, Inc. at the 2010 Game Developers Conference (GDC), both virtually on AREA and live in San Francisco. From March 9–13, Autodesk will provide presentations, sessions and free Autodesk MasterClasses — many offered by industry experts from Harmonix Music Systems, Artificial Mind & Movement, BioWare a Division of EA, and Naughty Dog. Attendees can check out the 2011 versions of some of Autodesk’s Digital Entertainment Creation tools, and see how the products are expected to connect with game engines from Epic Games, Ready At Dawn, Unity and Trinigy.

Virtual GDC on the AREA

For those not attending GDC in person, Autodesk will host Virtual GDC on AREA — Autodesk’s digital entertainment and visualization community. The virtual event will offer two free MasterClasses, live video streaming from the Autodesk booth and other exclusive on-demand content. Beginning March 9, visit area.autodesk.com/gdc. (NOTE TO EDITOR: Virtual GDC will also include a press room with Autodesk’s GDC 2010 press kit and imagery.) Information about Autodesk at GDC is currently available on AREA.

At the Autodesk Booth

At booth 912, Autodesk expects to showcase how some of the 2011 versions of its game development products connect with each other, as well as with third-party game engines by Epic Games, Ready At Dawn, Unity and Trinigy. Special guests from each company will offer demonstrations at the booth, along with Mixamo and Wild Pockets, demonstrating how their products interoperate with Autodesk 3ds Max and Autodesk Maya software. Harmonix Music Systems, Naughty Dog, BioWare a Division of EA and Sony Online Entertainment will also show how Autodesk products were used in the development of hit titles: “The Beatles: Rock Band,” “Uncharted 2” and “Dragon Age: Origins,” as well as the “DC Universe Online/Mass Animation” animation contest.
