4mumz Company have invented a new product that is classified as a safety product. This product is simple a child safety product that is used in vehicles when travelling with one or more children on board. In designing this product the inventor have gone for an animal character that will be likable and interesting for kids, a monkey. The inventor has used the face of a monkey to design the different part of the product, the nose of the monkey is the ON and OFF button and the mouth of the monkey hold the battery. The Front of the product shows the important caution, “Baby On Board” These words are designed to light up in different colours, the lights are also designed to change systematically every few minutes.
The inventor decided to invent this product after a very close family member was involved in a car accident. In the vehicle were her sister and her little nephew who was just a couple of months at the time. The accident occurred in the winter months after a visit from the inventor’s house. Their car was hit from be hide by another driver, in a confrontation with the driver at fault, he claims that he didn’t realize that there was a child on board because he did not see the sign that was been displayed at the rear of the vehicle. After hearing of this the inventor was prompted to produce this idea, a car sign that lights up (to increase visibly). She decided to research the idea and the search came back positive, as there are no similar products in the market. This product now has patent and registered the design.
The inventor has taken this product to the production stages and production will be completed in the summer. The age range for this product is from birth to 8. We believe that there is a market for this product as my research shows that there are over 900 children involved in car accident every year also the inventor have be speaking to parents and baby companies and they are very interested in the product. This product will help parents and reduce the level of child related accidents on the roads.
