(NewDesignWorld Press Release Center) --

In this my second book of poetry. I have had a chance to look at my work again and reassess it and ultimately to decide that I was wrong. I thought that I had found a style that I could write with. A style that was me but no I was wrong. The book is probably more varied than even I realised. I have very little control over the style itself but I was surprised by the end result after I sat down and looked through the poems. I know now that the work itself and the first book was leading to something more. I had no plans of writing a second book as the first was published but of course I continued to write. Only later did I think of a second book. It changed when I was at a poetry reading and some people wanted to buy my book even though I had no copies with me, a man paid me anyway. This struck me as all the encouragement that I needed. I am fairly sure now that there will be a third book as long as my good friend Karunesh agrees to publish it for me. I see the work as a triptych a crucifixion of sorts at the end of the third book I will be someone else. The writing will have changed me I am sure about that. Also at the end of the third book, I hope that the writing will be the finished article. Words that need no question. Words and sentences that are without doubt what I am and exactly what I am trying to say.

About the Author
Marc Carver was born in 1966 in Erith, England. He has worked in a variety of jobs and lived in Germany for three and a half years while he was serving in the Army. When he came out of the army he spent a long time drifting from one job to another. He has been writing for about fifteen years but only seriously for about the last year. Before, he wrote mostly fiction and has written a couple of books as yet unpublished. Now he concentrates exclusively on his poetry. When not writing or editing his work, he is performing it. He has a large amount of venues, mainly in London where he performs his poetry and has a slot at an arts centre in London. Now that he has finished his first book, he is looking forward to a second. Mainly because he has crystallized a form a style of writing that is not exclusively his but one that is one he is very happy with. You will probably be able to tell, if you look hard enough at the poems which are, in his words the end of the journey. The most important thing for him is that you enjoy his work, come and see him perform and buy more of his books so he can write more and you can read more.
