In Network Marketing there are many overlooked keys to ultimate success, but one that is vitally important is learning to track your way to massive MLM success.

To most people this would seem ‘unimportant’, but those same people also wonder why they can’t seem to gain any momentum in their business. Tracking your way to success in Network Marketing is one of the surest ways to always ensure that your business will continually get better and unmistakably become a powerful income over time.

To illustrate my point, I’ve paraphrased a short story that I once heard:

There once was a young, successful salesman in his 3rd year of work who was approached by another salesman who had been in the same business for 20 years. The younger salesman was producing nearly 4 times the results of the older salesman, so the more experienced man asked the younger executive how he was able to be so successful. The younger man replied, “I’ve just gotten better every year”.

“Well, that doesn’t make sense”, said the older salesman, “I’ve have 20 years of experience and you only have 3.”

The young man smiled and kindly said, “No, you have one year of experience, and have repeated it 20 times because you aren’t tracking your results and learning to get better each time you try something new.”

I like this story because if you are ever going to get better and find success with your MLM Network Marketing company, you must learn to track your results to determine what is ‘working’ and what is ‘not working’. You must then change the things that aren’t working, and expand upon the things that are getting the results you desire.

If you do this continuously, it will have an exponential impact on your Network Marketing success because even a 2% increase in one area and a 5% increase in another area can combine to add 15-20% to your results in another year or two. And if you learn to track your way to Network Marketing success by making incremental improvements in all areas of your MLM business, it can be the massive difference between failing and becoming a top producer.

To sum it all up, “Those who fail to track their results are doomed to repeating the same mistakes over and over again.”

1. How to Use the Internet to Grow My Network Marketing Company
  As times have changed in the MLM world recently, more people have looked for an alternative to ‘Belly to Belly’ marketing to promote their home based business. This has created a tidal wave of home business owners asking, “How do I use the internet to grow my Network Marketing business opportunity?”

The problem is that most people don’t know much about the internet beyond how to browse through some websites and use e-mail for work or to keep in touch with friends. 2) Get a website to capture your customer’s information. In order to effectively use the internet to grow you Network Marketing company, you need a website that will appeal to your target market. If they like the site and what you are offering, then they will gladly give you their contact information in exchange for a discount, free report, newsletter, or some other incentive. By knowing what your customer wants, it’s easy to get them something that is worth them putting their name, email, and possibly phone number into your data capture page.

3) You need to get visitors to your website. If you want people to visit your website, they have to know it exists. This means that you need to find ways to let people know about your site and what it has to offer. This is called ‘Driving Traffic’ or ‘Generating Web Traffic’ and is the #1 reason that most people fail to turn their website into a profit generating endeavor. There are dozens of articles that have been written by me and many other experts covering this subject, so I won’t get into it here.

4) Follow up and build a relationship with your customers. Now that people have been to your site and given you their contact information, it’s time to build a relationship. With a tool called an autoresponder, you can set up follow up e-mails that build trust and offer valuable information or services to your customer. While doing this you can talk about the advantages of your MLM business opportunity, its product, or relay relevant stories about people who are finding success with the company.

5) Ask for their business. If you have done step 4 correctly, you may not even have to ask for your customer to join your company- they should be asking you how they can get involved. However, many people aren’t assertive enough to contact you, so when the time is right, you need to give them a direct chance to join your company.

If you follow this success system on how to use the internet to grow your Network Marketing business opportunity, then I have done my job. Once created, an online MLM lead generation system will grow your home business 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

It is important to note that it will take time, testing, and work to make this happen; but if you are willing to stick with it until you find success, the rewards can be incredible.

This means that you need to show them some results with the product or the business as fast as possible.

3) You must help your people to create their own success. This is more true for the business side of MLM than the product side, but making sure they are using the product correctly and regularly should take care of their love of the product. On the business side you need to now teach THEM how to make money in network marketing just like you have… This means training them properly and teaching them these 3 steps so that they can duplicate your efforts.

  In order for you to succeed with your Home Business, you must learn how to get cheap or free MLM leads for your Network Marketing business to succeed. This is because the most important aspect for growing your MLM or Network Marketing company is finding a way to constantly bring new prospects to your Business Opportunity, and grow a huge downline and residual income.

This is a dilemma that has haunted new home based business owners in the past, but as technology has developed, the question of “How do I get free MLM leads for my business?” has gotten easier to answer.

There is no “Golden Ticket” to mountains of free leads, and usually you’ll end up paying for them with your ‘Time’ instead of money, but here are a few ways that you can get free MLM leads for your business:

1) Exchange your existing leads with another Network Marketer. This might seem unusual, but often other Networkers have leads that they have already contacted (usually a while ago) that they will exchange for leads that you have in your database. 5. Why You Shouldn’t Use Your MLM Company’s Replicated Website
  As I work with Network Marketers across the country and help them to get started or to grow their existing MLM business, I continually have to explain 1 thing over and over… “Why you shouldn’t use your company’s replicated website.”

I understand that most companies have a beautiful website with all sorts of bells and whistles, I agree that it has good videos and top notch graphics, and I have heard that the guy who designed it is the best web designer this side of Hong Kong… But the problem is that even with all of these wonderful things, it isn’t designed to effectively help you grow your business.

Here are 3 reasons that you shouldn’t use your MLM Company’s replicated website:

1) It is impossible to get search engine rankings for organic (non-paid) web traffic. This is because all of the pages have nearly the same content. Similar headlines, mostly all the same copy, the same videos, etc. You have little or no control over the page, and when it comes to getting natural traffic from Google, Yahoo, or MSN- unique, high quality content is the key. Because of this, it is nearly impossible to optimize your site in a way that is going to allow you to rank much higher than the 1000’s of others using the same website design as you.

2) There are too many distractions. Most company sites include educational videos, short 1 or 2 paragraph pitches, and lots of pretty pictures or animation. However, most of these things distract your prospect and pull them in many directions instead of leading them where you want them to go- straight to your team. There is no ‘flow’ or direction on where your prospect should go or what they should do. The general rule in sales is, “The confused mind always says ‘No’.” This means that your prospect may come to the page and look, but if they can’t figure out what to do right away, they will leave and never come back.

3) It isn’t designed to sell. This is an extension of #2 but is the very basis of why you shouldn’t use your MLM company’s replicated website. Websites should have one purpose- to sell. Either to sell people on giving you their contact information (so you can follow up with them) or to sell them on buying your product or opportunity. Most MLM websites tell about the company founders, how the company gives to charity, etc. But it doesn’t compel the visitor to ‘buy something’, so it is ineffective at selling.

Network Marketing websites are powerful tools, but if you are depending on your company’s replicated website to do all of the work, you are in for a rude awakening. I have had students who have driven many hundreds of visitors to their site without even one person opting in or buying something.

When compared with an original, well crafted ‘sales based’ website for an MLM business, there is no resemblance. I’ve seen sites that convert 1 in 3 visitors into a lead or customer, and have grown MLM businesses on auto pilot.

Now that you know why you shouldn’t use your MLM company’s replicated website to bring your leads or sales- begin by building your own website and using the internet as a powerful tool in growing your business. There are many places that you can get a site designed and built for cheap such as www.elance.com or www.rentacoder.com, and with a little practice and testing, you can have a site bringing your leads day and night in no time.
