RNCOS has recently added a new Market Research Report titled, “Turkey Telecom Sector Forecast to 2012” to its report gallery. Largely driven by the government initiatives aimed at the liberalization and privatization of the sector to introduce competition, the Turkish telecom sector has shown tremendous growth in past few years. Coupled with this, the favorable demographics of the country, together with rising disposable income and a desire to avail hi-tech telecom services are propelling the domestic telecom market.
Turkey has low fixed-line, Internet and broadband penetrations, offering huge potential for their future development. The fixed-line sector remains underdeveloped, and various factors such as high tariffs and absence of fixed-line networks, have been hindering its growth, says our new research report, “Turkey Telecom Sector Forecast to 2012”.
Mobile services, on the other hand, penetrated nearly 83% of the Turkish population in 2007 and are projected to surpass 100% in next few years. As the mobile market will approach saturation during the forecasted period, operators will resort to offering Value Added Services (VAS) to drive their revenues. The recent announcement by the government to allow Mobile Number Portability (MNP) is further expected to lead to true competition in the sector.
Because competition in the telecom sector is intensifying, operators are now looking for new sources of revenue generation to sustain and gain their market share. This is prompting them to introduce such new technologies as 3G, IPTV and WiMAX in the country. Hence, operators in the region are aggressively pushing the deployment of network infrastructure suitable for these technologies.
“Turkey Telecom Sector Forecast to 2012” provides extensive research and in-depth analysis of the Turkish telecom market. It gives an insight into the current market trends and substantiate the data with unbiased and rationale analysis.

RNCOS Releases a New Report- Booming UAE Telecom Sector
|
|
|
RNCOS, incorporated in the year 2002, is an RNCOS has recently added a new Market Research Report titled, “Booming UAE Telecom Sector” to its report gallery. The UAE’s telecommunication market has shown tremendous growth over the recent past, mainly propelled by the government initiatives aimed at the deregulation of the market and introduction of competition. The TRA (Telecommunication Regulatory Authority) remains at the forefront of the success of the country’s telecom sector. It is continuously considering and evaluating ways to further intensify competition in the UAE telecom market.
Penetration in the mobile market surpassed 166% in 2007, leaving less room for operators to further take advantage of the market. But this is not the end of growth; future growth in mobile subscriptions will come from growing population and increasing number of expatriates, says RNCOS in its new research report, “Booming UAE Telecom Sector”. Moreover, operators are now looking at Value Added Services (VAS) to derive revenues from saturated mobile market.
However, the fixed-line sector remains underdeveloped, with fixed-line penetration standing at just over 30% in 2007. Various factors, such as high tariffs and absence of fixed-line networks, have been hindering the growth of the country’s fixed-line market. But the recent announcement by the TRA to allow Carrier Pre-Selection (CPS) in the country could bring fruitful results in this sector.
In line with the increasing education and business in the region, the demand for Internet services has also increased in recent years. Although dial-up subscriptions currently dominates the Internet market, we project broadband subscribers to account for nearly 65% of Internet subscribers in coming few years.
Developments in all the sectors of ICT industry has heated up the competition in the region. So operators are seeking new sources of growth to capitalize on their share of the market. This is resulting into introduction of new technologies such as IPTV, VoIP, Mobile TV, etc. Operators in the region are aggressively pushing the deployment of network infrastructure suitable for these technologies.
“Booming UAE Telecom Sector” provides in-depth analysis of the telecommunication market in the UAE. It gives an insight into the current market trends dominating the market. This research report also gives industry forecast on various telecom segments based on feasible telecom industry environment in the UAE. These include telecommunication industry, fixed-line, mobile subscribers, Internet subscribers, broadband subscribers and 3G subscribers.
The research presents thorough analysis on the current and potential outlook of various emerging technologies, such as IPTV and Mobile TV in the UAE.
As the telecom market remains duopoly of Etisalat and du, the report, keeping in mind importance of these two players in the success of UAE telecom market, offers rational analysis on both these operators. This includes in-depth research and extensive analysis on their business activities, recent developments and SWOT analysis in regard to the UAE telecom industry.

High Consumption Fuelling LNG Import in South Korea
|
|
|
Natural gas plays a vital role in South Korean energy market; in fact, in 2007, natural gas accounted for around 14% share in country’s total energy generation, meeting a substantial part of its rapidly growing energy demand, says “Global LNG Market - The Road Ahead”.
According to RNCOS analyst, “Despite the economic ups and downs, primary energy consumption is expected to grow at an average rate of around 3% during 2008-2012.” Apart from rising consumption, the need to create a pollution-free environment has prompted the country to focus on gas-fired power stations. Also, the country is likely to bring more gas-fired power plants online in near future to meet the power demand of domestic heavy and manufacturing industries that consume a large part of power. As natural gas has high calorific value and is a relatively cleaner source of energy, its demand is rolling in the domestic South Korean market, says the report.
However, the limited natural gas reserves have forced South Korea to import LNG from other countries to match its domestic requirements. In fact, domestic production contributes an insignificant share towards the country’s total natural gas consumption. And geographical positioning and non-friendly environment of South Korea with counterpart North Korea has limited the development of its natural gas pipeline with Russia. As a result, it has been importing natural gas in the liquid form since 1994.
“Global LNG Market - The Road Ahead” expects that South Korea’s LNG demand in 2010 for power generation and other domestic uses will be up by more than 32% over 2007 level.
Apart from South Korea, the report provides a detailed study on LNG markets of other countries too. It covers information on the LNG importing countries like Japan, China India, the US and France, and LNG exporting countries like Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia, Oman, the UAE and Qatar to understand the global LNG supply and demand market. It analyzes both present and future scenario of the LNG market, and features forecast on LNG demand, supply and production etc at country-level.

Three operations of premixing, grinding and dispersing are combined within one machine. The machine operates on the principle of shear created within the mass differential of product and grinding media. The grinding medium is moved to the vessel wall by the action of the specially designed disc impeller. This constantly moving mass of grinding media is force-flowed up the side of the vertical vessel wall, the action continuing until the vortex spiral directs the media movement towards the agitator shaft for another continuous cycle of events.
The main grinding shell is jacketed for cooling. This is a very speedy operation wherein major products are achieved to the respective gauges in about 1-1/2 hours time.
The applications are Synthetic enamels, Water based primers, Red oxide primers, Artist colours, Flexography inks, Industrial finishes.
Techno Designs offers Horizontal as well as Vertical Sand Mills for wet grinding of various kinds of materials such as Pigments, Agrochemicals, Dyes, Paints, Minerals and various other type chemicals etc. This is primarily used for size reduction of the materials. This Bead Mills are used for continuous dispersion and fine wet grinding for high to low viscosity pumpable fluids.
PRINCIPLE
The necessary energy for grinding is given by rotating the beads by means of discs fixed on the agitator. The grinding beads transfers the energy to the material and high shear and high peripheral velocities reduces the particle size of the material to be ground.
CONTINUOUS
It consists of a Horizontal/Vertical Cylindrical jacketed shell with a central shaft on which number of discs is fixed. The shell is provided with cooling jacket. The shaft end is sealed by double mechanical seal The feed pump and the electric panel is mounted on the main machine with all necessary required instrumentation and controls. The grinding beads are separated from the material by means of gap separator or by Wedge Screen.
Techno Designs offers RVD for clean, simple and effective way of drying of wet cakes, wet powders, slurries where either solvent is to be recovered or drying is to be carried out at relatively low temperature for heat sensitive material.
CONSTRUCTION
It contains a hollow shaft with specially designed hollow arms, which are heated by steam / hot water/ thermic fluid; rotating in a centrally jacketed shell. The entire shell area is effectively covered by the specially designed scrapper arms, which scrape the entire internal surface of the dryer and continuously move and rotate the material remaining in contact with hot surfaces for protracted periods of time. This reduces the drying time.
OPERATION
After starting agitation, feed is charged and vacuum is applied in RVD, dust catcher, condenser and receiver. Then heating the mass causes vapor to evaporate, which is subsequently condensed and collected in receiver. The recovery of solvent is maximum and drying time is low because of higher heat transfer, vacuum and intensive mixing.
SALIENT FEATURES
As each material is unique in nature, Techno Designs offers pilot trial for understanding drying behaviour and predicting data on power and heat input along with drying time. Optional features like breaker bar (for minimizing lump formation for particle size reduction), nitrogen purging (for explosion proof environment), stationary scrapper blades ( for scrapping rotating agitator for highly sticky material), sampling valve (for collecting samples during vacuum application), flame proof motors (for Ex-proof environment)

Fruit Juices to drive UK Health Drinks Market
|
|
|
After the UK government’s message of five fruit and vegetable portions per day, the popularity of juices has increased immensely in the country. A similar trend is also seen in the fruit smoothie’s category, again thanks to the five-a-day campaign.
Fruit juices will be the fastest and one of the largest segments of the UK soft drinks market. Rising popularity of drinking juice, while out and about, could be the key for further growth in this market. Besides, rising number of juice bars (on trade), new product innovation, changing consumer behavior, preference for health drinks and healthy lifestyle will also boost the fruit juice consumption in the UK.
According to a Senior Research Analyst at RNCOS, “The ongoing recession will not affect the consumption of fruit juices in the UK much and the consumption growth will only fall marginally in the next 8-10 months. The market will maintain healthy growth momentum on the back of changing consumer preference. It is anticipated that the demand for economical private label products and in-house developed products in supermarkets and hypermarkets will rise as compared to premium and branded products as consumers will try to maintain their fruit juice intake level. Despite shift in preference and slight slowdown in growth, fruit juices will remain an important segment of health drinks market and continue to drive the industry growth.”
“UK Health Drinks Market”, a recent report by RNCOS, comprehensively discusses the health and energy drinks market in the UK with focus on market trends in all the segments to help client identify the segment with highest potential. It also provides an overview on past, current and future scenario of various product segments to present a clear picture on sales and consumption pattern.
The RNCOS research provides forecast on retail sales of fruit juices, still & juice drinks, sports & energy drinks, and smoothies. It takes into account the changing consumer preferences and behavior while predicting the future direction of the market.
