How You Can Introduce About Pos Software?
This article is focused on describing what POS software is, how it works, what it is for, tips when buying.
If you want to understand what POS software is, you should first get familiar with the definition of POS. POS means point of sale or point of service, which is practically any place where transactions occur, like the cashing register of a retail shop or a checkout counter. As it follows from the definition, pos terminals can be found in restaurants, hotels, bars, shops, stores, malls. POS stands for both the hardware and software which make up the whole system.
It's a well known fact that computers as well as pos terminals, communicate by using some kind of a protocol - a predefined set of rules followed by all machines when exchanging information. You can visit www.software-index-wesite.com The protocol is like the language which computers speak. There are several protocols that are typically included in the pos software to control the peripheral devices, such as POS printer, a bar-code scanner, and a credit/debit card reader. Protocols such as AEDEX, Ultimate, DSP-800, and UTC Enhanced.
POS software has to meet certain standards, so that there can be compatibility between the different devices. The first standard in the POS software industry was initiated by Microsoft, NCR, Epson, and Fujitsu-ICL, under the name OPOS. OPOS is language independent because it's based on COM technology; hence people refer to it as "OLE for POS." SUN, IBM and NCR made a new standard called Jalaps. Jalaps are operating system independent, because it's entirely programmed using the JAVA language.
Of course, the article wouldn't be complete if we don't mention some of the benefits of pos software. The main one is the increase of your profits. Another major benefit is the reduction of inventory costs. Or go to www.scripts-to-sell.com POS software will also improve customer service. Efficiency will also be maximized with as minimum as 20%, because it automates repetitive tasks.
If you just consider for a minute all the places where you can find pos terminals - all the stores in the country, then you will easily see that there is a huge competition in the pos software industry, there are a lot of products available on the market.
Most POS software applications are for Windows. Linux and MAC come second and although they might be more stable and reliable, choices are fairly limited as there aren’t that many pos programs written for UNIX machines. Therefore, you will probably get a better shot at Windows pos software and if you have the system configured correctly, Windows systems can operate for months without a problem. POS software is available for support Windows 95, 2000, or XP, although some will support XP.

Biometrics Intruding into Public, Private Sectors for Identity Recognition
The global biometric market is estimated to have closed at nearly US$ 3 Billion in 2007, and is projected to grow at a CAGR of more than 20% by 2012, said “Global Biometric Forecast to 2012”, a new research report by RNCOS.
Over the last few years, biometrics has transformed in past few years from a technology used in a narrow band of closed environment applications into useful, feasible and fit-for-purpose tool used in various industries and applications. Moreover, as the technology offers accurate, reliable and cost-effective ways to improve security surveillance, the adoption of biometrics in both private and public sectors globally has gone up significantly.
According to the RNCOS research, rising security concerns, such as individual identity theft, and corporate and national security, are the key factors boosting growth of the biometric market. Thus, an increasing number of countries are using biometrics to identify their citizens. Besides, new anti-terrorist legislation in the US forced the government to mandate the use of biometrics in visa and passport, resulting in drastic growth of the global biometric market. Realizing the sensitivity of the issue of national security, many other governments are also following the same.
With rising use of key biometric technologies like hand geometry, iris technology and finger recognition by the government, the global biometric market is expected to witness moderate growth in coming years, said the report.
“Global Biometric Forecast to 2012” provides comprehensive information on various biometric technologies as well as their rising applications in different areas. It also contextualizes the role of technology in improving the security of both private and public sectors. It highlights the countries paying a great deal of attention to the application of biometric technology across a wide range of industries.
In addition, the report thoroughly analyzes the global biometric market and discusses its current and future scenario on the basis of regions. It underlines the future potential areas and key issues critical for the development of the market. The report also gives forecast on biometric by technology, biometric by application and biometric by region.

RNCOS Releases a New Report- Booming Global Obesity Drug Market
RNCOS has recently added a new Market Research Report titled, “Booming Global Obesity Drug Market” to its report gallery. “Booming Global Obesity Drug Market”, our latest research on the obesity market, states that the prevalence of obesity is increasing globally at alarming rates. Obesity drugs market has shown a radical growth in recent times but in contrast, the market for weight loss drugs has failed to match this growth. By 2012, it’s expected that more than two billion people will be overweight and 600 Million will be obese, representing immense opportunities for both the markets.
The market for weight loss drugs is characterized by numerous failures. A number of drugs have failed to get approval, some have been recalled, and those that have entered the market either suffer from serious side effects or have just failed to give the desired weight loss results consumers expected from them. Refusal of healthcare authorities to grant reimbursement to these drugs has also impeded the growth. One of the most recent examples can be taken from Sanofi’s Acomplia; the drug was hailed as multibillion blockbuster before it was launched. But Acomplia, like most of its predecessors, failed to have a sufficient benefit to risk ratio and was taken off the market just two and a half years after its launch.
The future of the obesity drugs market, however, may not be so gloomy. This is because the market has high unmet demand, and any drug that manages to provide a high benefit to risk ratio can easily achieve blockbuster status. Moreover, despite some of its recent failures, the obesity drugs pipeline is rich and a large number of drugs are in phase-III and late phase-II trials. If some of these drugs manage to reach the market and posses a strong efficacy and safety profile, they can quickly become billion-dollar blockbusters.
Country-wise, the US is presently the biggest market for weight loss drugs with around 68% of its population either overweight or obese. The US is followed by the UK and other European countries. In future, emerging economies such as China, Russia, India and Brazil are also expected to become a huge market for weight loss products. With China’s obesity and overweight levels touching 665-670 Million in 2015, the country will emerge as the most potential weight loss market.
Our report gives an extensive and objective analysis on the global market for obesity drugs. It identifies the past and current performance of the market, and outlines the future trends shaping the industry. It comprehensively assesses the performance of drugs, both in the market and in developing stage. Based on various present and future indicators, the report evaluates future outlook and performance of key products in the industry. The research can thus give valuable information to manufacturers/investors planning to foray into the obesity drugs market.
Our report provides forecast on

India Insurance - Govt. Proposed to Lift FDI Cap to 49%
The Indian government has proposed to increase FDI in the insurance sector to 49%. Currently, only up to 26% FDI is allowed in the Indian insurance sector under the automatic route subject to obtaining a license from Insurance Regulatory Development Authority (IRDA). According to “Booming Insurance Market in India (2008-2011)”, a recent report from RNCOS, the Indian insurance market, particularly life insurance sector, will get a strong boost from the proposed FDI hike. Increasing limit to 49% is expected to raise the FDI in life insurance sector by around 2.5 times from the present level of approx Rs 2,500 Crore.
The senior insurance industry analyst at RNCOS opined, “The proposed increase in FDI will attract more foreign inflow into the Indian economy and strengthen the country’s insurance industry. This increase (in FDI) will bring more capital and help the sector in maintaining the growth momentum. The insurance sector has been in strong need of the capital investment, in fact, the requirement has increased dramatically due to recent losses on unit-linked products with weak stock market. Also, being a capital intensive sector, the insurance sector requires huge investments over a prolonged period of time, and therefore, there is constant need for capital infusion that can be met through FDI.”
Increasing FDI limit will also encourage the insurance sector to come up with more innovative distribution channels, enrich the current product portfolio, upgrade technology, and bring best global practices into the country. Beside this, raising FDI cap would also help insurers to expand their coverage to rural and micro-insurance segments as penetration in rural and remote areas require additional capital infusion.
“Booming Insurance Market in India (2008-2011)” provides an exhaustive research and rational analysis on the Indian insurance market. This study provides an overview on the factors driving the insurance industry, coupled with the forces which are blocking the growth. The report, based on extensive quantitative and qualitative analysis, gives forecast on vital industry parameters, like cars & commercial vehicle registrations, outbound tourists, medical equipment market, lending by financial institutions, IT spending, non-life insurance market, and health insurance premium.
This comprehensive study will help the clients to assess current market trends and identify the market dynamics and opportunities critical to their success in the country.

RNCOS New Report- Wind Power: Opportunities in Emerging Markets
RNCOS has recently added a new Market Research Report titled, "Wind Power: Opportunities in Emerging Markets" to its report gallery. Power is the backbone of any economy in today’s world. But the high price of fossil fuel is forcing countries to focus on renewable energy sources. So the technologically-developed countries have replaced a considerable portion of their fossil fuel power with renewable sources to sustain their concrete growth. But, according to "Wind Power: Opportunities in Emerging Markets", emerging countries, who have just started their journeys, too need to maintain a robust power supply because
- Most of the emerging economies are preferred destinations for industrial and manufacturing plant set up by developed countries.
- Development of power grid connectivity has boosted up the power consumption.
- Increasing population has fuelled the power requirement in developing economies.
However, rising fossil fuel prices are challenging the growth potential of these countries. Therefore, like developed countries, these nations too are adding renewable sources in their power mix.
For most of the emerging countries, wind power seems to be the best choice as it is relatively low cost than other renewable sources and is a cleaner source of energy.
